A Technique to Control the Mind and Gain Razor-Sharp Focus.
Activating and using mental abilities requires the mind
to have one-pointed focus. This ancient technique has been
used for thousands of years to gain control of the mind
and achieve razor-sharp focus. The secret lies within the
breath. The ancients called it “the breath of life”
and considered it to contain “prana” or life-force
energy. In the biblical story of Adam, God breathed into
his nostrils and he became a living soul. To harness the
mind, we must gain control of the breath. Most people in
Western Society have very shallow breathing, which increases
stress and lowers life-span. Some Eastern mystics and Himalayan
yogis are said to live 200-500 years or more… far
beyond what our society believes is even possible.

for instance have learned to gain full control of their
breathing. And by doing so, they control energy and can
influence every individual cell in the body. They can raise
or lower their temperature at Will, can influence their
heart rate and pulse, and even have the ability to stay
underwater for hours at a time. Our greatest weakness is
in how we breathe. The deeper you breathe, the stronger
your ability becomes to maintain focus. One technique that
has been used to stop the mind is to literally stop the
breath. Hold your breath for as long as you comfortably
can. Don’t try to overdo it, just hold it for a few
seconds at a time at first. While holding your breath, you
will notice that the thoughts in your mind are put on “hold”
as well. You can force some thoughts through the barrier,
but it’s amazing to realize how this technique works
instantly.
Exercise - Close your eyes and see a flaming candle.
It doesn’t matter what it looks like or how it burns,
just see it. Slowly take three deep breaths while keeping
your eyes closed and your mind on the candle. Just watch
it gently burn. After the third breath, inhale deeply, feel
the air go straight down into your abdomen and hold it.
Hold your breath for as long as you comfortably can while
maintaining focus on the flaming candle. You’ll immediately
notice the background thoughts disappear and you gain a
stronger clarity of the experience.
When the thoughts
come again, slowly exhale… take three deep breaths
down to your abdomen and with closed eyes… see the
candle again. See it in three-dimensions. Feel it’s
waxy texture… sense the heat coming off of the flame…
feel the warmth… hold the breath and focus on the
experience. You’ll find the more often you practice
this very simple technique, the longer you’re able
to maintain focus of the candle without any distracting
thoughts!
An added benefit
you gain is the ability to hold your breath for longer periods
of time. By focusing on the candle you’re improving
your visualization abilities, which strengthen the muscles
in your mind’s eye, but you’re also learning
to control your breath without thinking about it or putting
any effort into it, which makes it much easier to succeed.
Control of the breath is vital to harnessing mind power.
Focus is a requirement
of controlling energy and will greatly help you to develop
your mental abilities faster than you previously thought
possible. Soon enough, you’ll have achieved razor-sharp
focus for long periods of time, which gives you an open
doorway to a new world of unlimited possibilities!
